Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a SOCA – Self Optimizing Cellular System?

If you need assistance aligning your cellular antenna to the strongest cell tower for any reason, then a SOCA by Cellular Path is the perfect solution for you.

In the modern world where connectivity is non-negotiable, it’s imperative to remove the guesswork in finding the strongest signal for less dropped calls and the fastest upload and download speeds.

Yes. We designed the SOCA for simple installation. Please note: The SOCA Rotator outdoor unit (ODU) requires pole mounting on a roof. Please contact us at 832-428-0740 for professional installation if desired.

Depending on your directional antenna choice, SOCA will greatly improve your cellular reception. Typically, you can expect 3X better range and 2X better speeds when compared to omni directional antennas. Contact us to determine which directional antenna best fits your needs.
Starlink is a direct line of sight technology that requires an unobstructed view of satellites overhead. If trees, buildings or any obstruction is in between the Starlink dish and the satellites, you will not have reception. SOCA and the directional cellular antennas are much better at handling obstructions.
No. SOCA does not require any subscription plan and no monthly fees. Note: You will need to pay your cellular service provider the same fees that you normally pay.
Any SISO or MIMO directional antenna will work with the SOCA. Depending on how far you are from a cell tower, you may consider a standard yagi, LPDA or Grid Parabolic antenna. If you are using a MIMO antenna, these can be 2×2, 4×4 or 8×8 and will depend on your router configuration.
You can use any residential or commercial cell phone booster with a SISO antenna connection. A few common brands are WilsonPro, weBoost, Surecall, CEL-FI, HiBoost, and Zinwave.
Absolutely, you can link any cellular router to leverage the strongest external cellular signal available. A few common brands are Peplink, Sierra, Cradlepoint, Inhand and Teltonika.
You can choose to recalibrate whenever you have less than desirable signal, on demand or you can create a schedule.
No problem with 3 easy steps! Open the app, select your new carrier, and press scan.
We provide a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, no questions asked. You’ll be responsible for the return shipping fee and ensuring the return of all hardware.
The outdoor SOCA Rotator (Outdoor Unit – ODU) and indoor SOCA Controller (Indoor Unit – IDU) come with a 3-year warranty.
