If trees, buildings or any obstruction is in between the Starlink dish and the satellites, you will not have reception. No. SOCA does not require any subscription plan and no monthly fees. Note: You will need to pay your cellular service provider the same fees that you normally pay.
Any SISO or MIMO directional antenna will work with the SOCA. Depending on how far you are from a cell tower, you may consider a standard yagi, LPDA or Grid Parabolic antenna. If you are using a MIMO antenna, these can be 2×2, 4×4 or 8×8 and will depend on your router configuration.

We can suggest antennas capable of reaching cell towers located up to 30 miles away.
